High school is memorizing facts that you’ll forget in two days for a test on information that probably will not affect your job in ten years. It’s sobbing and screaming because you’re just too stressed. It’s finding out who you are - within the school guidelines and social norms. It’s doing 28 hours of work and activities in only 24 hours. It’s drinking coffee every day because there just isn’t enough time for eight hours of sleep. It’s learning how to factor when you could be learning how to do taxes. It’s breaking your back with a backpack full of textbooks. It’s going to school and sitting there for eight hours only to go back home and do three more hours of work. It’s taking what is claimed to be the best four years of your life and turning it into a living hell. It’s crying in the hallway during finals week. High school is leaving you clueless when asked a non-academic question, because there is no study guide for life.

Beyoncé didn’t show up to this guy’s dental appointment, and he’s really upset with her.

Cody, 17, was on his way home having had his wisdom teeth removed when his mum kindly reminded him that his idol had left him in the lurch.

Drugged up on Valium, the teenager could hardly contain his grief as the realization set in.

‘She told me she’d be here,’ he whined. ‘She lied to me. She lied to me, Mummy.’

I’ve been sticking with this speech since I met 5 Seconds Of Summer. I’ve always stated that All Time Low were Green Day’s babies. But now, they have their own babies too. And that’s how I came up with the idea. The pop punk generations.
These three bands make me happy. My favorite teenage years band above them all, the grandfathers. Inspiration to me and them, the bands below. Fathers and sons. Keeping pop punk alive. Keeping the punk spirit alive. Giving us great songs, future anthems, making us smile, cry and want to break necks. That’s what punk’s about. Ramones of our generation. A pop punk generation.
I saw a post saying that 5 Seconds Of Summer was the first band playing their own instruments on the VMA’s since Green Day in their 2012 performance. Yes, talk about passing the torch.
 They all make me proud.
 Thanks.
